Current European Projects 


Meath Partnership is currently working with over 60 organisations across Europe in 16 new and existing projects funded under the Erasmus+ (2014-2020) and by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union. The aim of these projects is to increase the learning opportunities and educational options for youth and adult learners in County Meath. Throughout 2020 and 2021, these projects will be completed and a series of innovative and new educational resources, that can be accessed and used free of charge, will be made available to service providers, trainers and youth and adult learners within the county.

Below are details of the projects in which Meath Partnership is currently engaged:



Game of Phones

GAME OF PHONES aims to design and develop challenge-based webquests for young people and adults to build skills and competences to assist their reintegration into education and/or employment.

The webquest challenges developed by the project will encourage people to discover and engage with Europe's cultural heritage, and to reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space.

As part of the project, we will develop a tailored in-service training programme for adult educators to support them to work with and use the GAME of PHONES webquest resources.

The Inside-Out project will develop a wide range of educational resources to support parents, families and the front-line educators who support them, to address the issues of self-care among parents and also provide parents with the guidance they need to adapt their parenting styles and behaviours to nurture positive relationships with their children. Throughout the lifespan of this project, a curriculum will be designed and delivered to parents and guardians, a training course will be designed and delivered to practitioners and adult educators and finally, an interactive online learning platform will be developed. 

This project is being delivered in partnership with 5 other organisations from across the European Union.

EU-VOICE aims to support the integration of Third Country Nationals and to promote relationships between TCNs and host-country nationals by organising volunteering experiences with TCNs in the cultural sector in 4 EU countries. Attention is given to gender balance and social inclusion. Volunteering is adopted as a main tool for integration, cultural activities aim to involve everyone with a shared European heritage to enhance a sense of belonging.
Project activities include: training of trainers, workshops to promote volunteering, seminars on active citizenship, training to prepare the volunteers-to-be and a 25 day-long volunteering experience for hundreds of TCNs and country nationals together in cultural activity contexts, such as libraries, museums, youth centres, landscape and environment care and preservation, arts festivals and meetings.

ODISSEU was designed to develop young people digital and media literacy competences, so as to develop resistance to all forms of discrimination. This is a first person experiential game for secondary students, that follows a young person’s journey from oppression in their home country to exile in a country of asylum. 

One of the key objectives of the ODISSEU project is to influence the wider education system in the 6 partner countries. The use of ICT in particular will allow for a transformation of the role of the teachers and students from passive recipients to active producers of information, thus contributing to their empowerment.

Digitalisation trends have reached adult education and are revolutionising teaching and learning processes. The VIRAL SKILLS project aims at integrating innovative technological approaches - Virtual Reality (VR) into the field of adult education by introducing the potential of Virtual Reality learning to managers and teachers in adult education. The project facilitates and increases the widespread utilisation of VR technology in adult education, especially as a potentially motivating medium for low-skilled and low-qualified adults.

Work-based Learning (WBL) is a crucial component of VET education in Europe, but educational institutions and businesses use very different concepts and languages in their approaches. In order to foster cooperation between education and businesses it is necessary to build effective links between VET schools and companies. 

Therefore, the main aim of the WBL Accelerator project is the improvement of the quality of WBL in VET systems in Europe through a business value and perspective-based training programme for WBL responsibles in companies to help the different actors to "speak a common language".

BRIDGES –Broadening positive Reflections on the Issue of Disability, Generating Empowerment for Stakeholders – supports, in a holistic and integrated approach and through really innovative products, the capacity building of factors concerning and dealing with disability in society; members with disabilities of society should enjoy the right of a full and decent life in proper conditions, ensuring dignity, self-reliance promotion and facilitation of their active participation in community and it is up to the family environment, training providers and professionals, along with society reflections and stakeholders – in general – to ensure that disability deserves equal opportunities and potential.

CICLO is an innovative Erasmus+ KA2 project aims to upgrade and multiply the opportunities for up-skilling and re-skilling of long term unemployed and low-skilled workers, in the field of evolving circular economy market, via innovative VET tools and pedagogies, accompanied by skills acquisition assessment, recognition and validation methods.

InTraRed: Innovation Transfer Ready SMEs


The InTraRed project aims to foster the innovation management within SMEs through the building of new learning partnerships between the world of work and the world of VET provision.  Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs are crucial for identifying new avenues to more sustainable and inclusive growth because of their twin roles in creating and diffusing innovation and providing employment. VET providers are the key educational bridge between education and SMEs, and the InTraRed project will focus on building robust and sustainable learning partnerships between both sectors in pursuit of excellence in innovation management.

Coaching and performance management is now a key competence required by managers. Research shows that organisations which have developed and embraced a coaching culture outperform organisations that have not (CMI 2016: 21st Century Leaders – Building Employability Through Higher Education). This project is about developing Managers as Coaches (MAC).

The Green4C (GreenForCare) project, co-funded by Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union is a three-year project that aims at increasing Europe’s innovation capacity among universities and businesses to promote nature-based solutions for health, well-being, and social inclusion . Green4C focuses on the private sector providing nature-based solutions for health, well-being and social inclusion . While the public sector is also involved in the process and outcomes of the project, the purpose of Green4C is to contribute to the development of  Green Care entrepreneurial opportunities for students, researchers, professionals, as well as practitioners. Green care refers to activities in contact with nature which promote physical and mental wellbeing and health, as well as social inclusion.

Action: ACTION elearning and apps portal – Empowering educators and community leaders to act on climate change (


ACTION project develops a holistic framework to boost the acquisition and development of global and transversal skills on climate change related topics, among VET providers, local authorities and NGOs.

DiLitE: Digital Literacy in Europe


Literacy, digital skills and digital literacy are increasingly essential, especially for the most marginalised, hard-to-reach, low-qualified and low skilled members of society across the EU. The amount of ‘digital capital’ an adult holds can often determine how effectively they integrate and participate in social and civic life and wider society, obtain employment and achieve personal goals for the benefit of themselves, their families, their local community and society in general. The aim of the project is to develop, pilot and deliver a quality CPD programme and tools for adult educators to enable them to embed tools for digital capital within standard literacy teaching to ensure literacy learning opportunities are responsive to digital needs, challenges and opportunities.

Chellis: Chellis - The CHELLIS project


The CHELLIS project aims at providing challenge-based environmental language learning through inspiring stories for adult learners.

The project wants to raise awareness for current environmental challenges and eco-friendly topics. At the same time, CHELLIS provides an opportunity to improve language skills in English, French, German, Greek, Italian, and Portuguese.

Beyond Neets




Beyond NEET(D)s: About - (


Beyond NEET(D)s is a project aimed at people who are not in education, employment, or training ("NEETs") or who are completely disengaged. The project provides open and empowering opportunities that are centered on the individual person, on their needs and personal situation by applying a motivating gamification approach. Through this, NEETs and those currently disengaged will gain access to VET offers and the labour market, and will strengthen their personal confidence and motivation. They will then be able to define and implement skills and steps for entering the workforce or choosing a VET path.

Front Winners: Frontwinners – Frontwinners (


The project Front Winners: (re)skilling for mentors with immersive experiences aims to address a major issue which cover new contexts of Higher Education Institutions and the retraining or upskilling of mentors and educators (e.g. teachers, trainers, tutors, personal caregivers) in modern societies, especially those who work with people with fewer opportunities, namely young students with intelectual and developmental disabilities (IDD’s).
