Ideas Generation in Green Business Opportunities

Training course starting this September

The aim of this training programme is to participants with an understanding of the green economy and its various sectors and activities.  Participants will also have an opportunity to explore emerging trends and business opportunities, carry out preliminary research into the sector and prepare an outline plan for a green business idea.  

Outline:

The course will be delivered over 10 half-day sessions, on one morning per week.

The course will include the following key components:

• Introduction to Renewable Energies
• Business Opportunities in Energy
• Business Opportunities in Waste and Water
• Business Opportunities in Eco Construction
• Business Opportunities in Eco Tourism
• Alternative Models – Community based – co-operative ownership
• Practical Workshops
• Review of sectors
• Ideas Presentation
• Business Start up, Supports        

 Practical workshops with tutor support will also be included in the course where participant will have the opportunity to discuss their concepts on a confidential basis and where the individual issues surrounding the development of each business concept can be addressed.
